Our Story
Alisha and Fleck are passionate about creating personal, unforgettable experiences through great food, live music, and genuine Irish hospitality.
Our journey begins with our first season many moons ago back in 2006, where a love affair with the mountains quickly formed. After many fun seasons we decided to pour our passion for the mountains into serving glorious pints in the friendly village of Montriond.
Our goal was to create the warmth of an Irish pub in the magic of a ski resort and in 2014 we took the leap and opened La Marmotte d’Or. This December, we are delighted to celebrate a decade of unforgettable moments, laughter, and connection with our wonderful community here in this special corner of the Alps. We are proud to say that our small family-run establishment has remained a local favourite.
At our bar we believe in the power of pints bringing people together. Our aim is to provide a welcoming pub environment for everyone; whether you’re a French local or a visiting from afar. For us it’s the people who make La Marmotte d’Or special. Slainté to many more years of good times.
